Summary 

The Data Engineer will leverage large, complex sets of healthcare payer and related data to analyze the member experience across several dimensions to produce innovative solutions and optimize the delivery of our product offerings. In this role, the BI Data Engineer works closely with the BI, Data and Analytics teams to participate and assist in applying knowledge of statistics, data modeling, and advanced mathematics to recognize patterns, identify opportunities, pose business questions.

In tech mahindra the role will also work with business and technical teams to develop interactive data visualizations, dashboards, reports and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) solutions. Ensure data reports meet data accuracy, query performance, usability and functionality requirements as defined by the client. Should have experience in report development and data modeling in Power BI and organizing a large data sets and setting up reporting based on data source. Should have in-depth SQL Query development knowledge in writing SQL scripts to develop data set, as well as, demonstrable knowledge in Python for creating solutions for ETL.

Responsibility 

• Analyze data for pattern recognition, data discovery, and opportunities identification by applying the most applicable tool(s) from our toolset including SQL, statistics, machine learning, programming, data modeling, simulation, and advanced mathematics.
• Design, build, and implement BI and reporting solutions using tools including SSRS, Power BI, Tableau, Google Data Studio, etc.
• Utilize skills in data warehousing, business intelligence, and SQL Server and PostgreSQL Tools (SSMS, T-SQL, SQL Server, SSIS, etc.) to develop solutions.
• Create and execute detailed testing plans to ensure accuracy in ETL and reporting output.
• Support various stakeholders in translating healthcare and related data into actionable insights to improve program performance.
• Work with analytics and statistical software such as SQL, Python, Power BI and others to perform analysis and interpret data.
• Use ETL and data orchestration tools, primarily SQL, Python, Airflow and Dbt to transform data into BI Data Warehouses.
• Experience in Snowflake preferred.
• Work directly with technical and business users to articulate, clarify and document requirements.
• Participate in designing, building and maintaining BI Data Warehouses using the most applicable data warehousing techniques such as Star-Schema Design, Slowly Changing Dimension, etc.
• Create and execute detailed testing plans to ensure accuracy in ETL processes.
• Troubleshoot and solve problems by gathering and assessing relevant information, use abstract ideas to interpret information effectively, develop well-reasoned conclusions and solutions, test solutions against relevant criteria and standards.
• Develop and apply working knowledge of the business and domain to confirm figures are in the range of feasible values, confirm that metrics are relevant, accurate, reliable and consistent.
• Debug, troubleshoot and monitor existing BI issues. Issues may include but are not limited to connectivity, authentication, software licensing, etc.

Technical Requirements 

• Should have in-depth understanding of Big Query architecture, table partitioning, clustering, best practices, type of tables, best practices, Data fabric etc.
• You should have strong SQL skills for data analysis and dana manipulation.
• Performance tuning of Big Query SQL scripts is added advantage.
• Experience in implementing physical data model (Databases, Schema Tables, Views & Virtual Data Warehouse)
• Implementing ETL jobs using Big query, Experience on any ETL tools, CDF, Cloud Composer airflow, DataProc, git, bitbucket etc.
• Load data into Big Query using files or by streaming.
• Good understanding of Data Warehouse / Dimension Modelling concepts.
• Migration Experience – SAP to Google Big Query
• Hands-on experience on any scripting knowledge like Python/Java
• Working knowledge on the data analysis
