We are looking for an Data Analyst to join our growing Finance data team. This is an exciting opportunity to become a foundational member of the Payments & Financial analytics team, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining services that automatically process massive amounts of financial data, providing visibility into each step of the money movement lifecycle in Rippling’s payments product ecosystem.
You should have strong critical thinking skills, and the ability to frame and break down complex problems. You thrive under ambiguity and can operate cross functionally in a fast paced environment. You are able to operate across the data stack, and support all elements from data engineering to delivering strategic recommendations.

Responsibility
- Collaborate across the company with engineering, accounting, compliance, and product teams to analyze and account for billions of dollars moving through the Rippling payment platform.
- Build full-cycle analysis using SQL, Python, or other scripting and statistical tools and develop real-time metrics dashboards to manage key financial and operating levers of the business.
- Developing a comprehensive understanding of the processes that currently exist and how to automate them for the future and integrate into the ERP.
- Developing a deep understanding of the Company data schemas and data models to automate accounting reporting and reconciliations.
- Collaborating with key stakeholders (Accounting, Compliance, Treasury etc.) to understand business requirements and develop solutions to address reporting and reconciliation automation, including internal tool development and/or implementation of third party tools.
- Developing and maintaining documentation of reconciliation processes and procedures.
- Preparing and delivering data and reporting solutions to help automate accounting reconciliations supporting month-end close, regulatory & compliance reporting

Requirements
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in Business Intelligence/Data Analytics within an finance/accounting department.
- Excellent verbal communication and presentation ability. You are able tp fram problems, and communicate to all levels of an organization.
- Proven track record of working cross functionally and communicating findings to executive leadership
- Experience partnering with Finance/Accounting organizations in performing detailed and data intensive reconciliations with disparate datasets.
- Experience with data warehousing technologies like Redshift, Snowflake, Presto, etc.
- Expert in SQL
- Familiarity with business intelligence best practices and tooling
- Familiarity with data transformation best practices and tooling (e.g. incremental tables, metrics layer, dbt projects)
- Experience with data visualization tools and delivering self service reporting
Preferred
- Develop and maintain Python-based applications and scripts for various projects.
- Design and implement Data models, ETL processes, and Data Visualization solutions using Power BI.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Independently identifies solutions to common and complex issues within a project, by applying strong understanding of supply chain.
- Supports complex strategic supply chain projects from planning through to execution and provides findings resulting.
- Conducts data analysis and interprets findings to identify major conclusions and formulate summaries for supply chain projects.
- Owns decision-making within supply chain projects and contributes to strategic supply chain solutions.
- Assists in managing strategic supply chain models which translate physical and financial flows into business processes.
- Implementing product and services supply chains into the company’s business systems.
