About Role
- Clear understanding of Business KPIs and provide solutions to derive business values
- Analyze business requirement, design, development and extract relevant data and provide insights as per business requirements in Vodafone to support data driven decision making.
- Identify bottlenecks and perform performance improvements in data pipelines in Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server Undertake ad-hoc data analysis and reporting using SQL.
- Knowledge on GCP would be an added advantage.

Job Responsibility
• Create New jobs / Modification of existing jobs/Automation and performance improvement of redundant scripts – SQL scripts on Oracle and MS SQL Server.
• Create and fix Unix shell scripts for jobs scheduling and file handling.
• Meet with relevant stakeholders regularly to track progress and highlight impediments.
• Report and query outputs, using SQL and BI tools.
• Data validation by applying business rules and providing insights to business. • Delivery within agreed timelines and maintain quality.
Key accountabilities
• Translation of Business Requirements into a solution design as basis for the further development process.
• Identify sources of data and analyze to match with requirements.
• Alignment of solution design decisions with lead information architect and with IT.
• Perform data analysis and fine tune the transformation rules for further development using Teradata tools and utilities.
• Ensure standards are followed in the design and implementation of solution.
• Telecom business information framework developed with all the facts and dimensions explaining relationship and business rules.
• Deliver business insights in the form of interface, report/dashboard, business processes, and application matching visualization standards.
Database
• Data Architecture – Ability to understand and implement logical and physical data models (normalized as well de-normalized model),
• Hands on with source to target transformation design and implementation reviews
• Good communication skills • Flexibility and problem solving
Essential
1. Database development experience using – Oracle SQL and MS SQL Server
2. Working experience in PL/SQL scripting.
3. Creation of Unix shell scripting
Good to have
1. Hands-on development experience using Python on Spark.
2. Exposure to components on any cloud platform.
